WELCOME TO PIR 10/12/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I just found the questionnaire which will be sent out soon (thanks FTLW for putting the info out for us newbies)...will definitely share my son's answers!! Question for you all - is there anything that should NOT be sent to our SR's in a letter? I googled "Navy Funnies" and found some pix that are funny but one for example has Bill Clinton on a ship asking "So are there any girls on this ship?". Another has a carrier with "F!@# Iraq" spelled out on the landing strip. I know my son would find them funny but I don't want him to get in any trouble...advice please...

Kellee: I already booked my flight SWA. I don't want to post the info online though. Maybe we will be on the same flight. I don't know how to send you a private message.

I'm laying here in bed and he's not here laying beside me... It feels so empty without him... I really wish he was here right now holding me in his arms and hearing him tell me that he loves me. I miss him so much... I really do. :-\

No letter yet or call.. I have to say this is the hardest thing I have ever gone thru.. I am missing my son terribly.. I think I have only had 3 tear free days since August 13... Iwish I would just get a call or a letter so I will know first hand that he is ok..Am I the only div 822 that hasn't heard from their son??

Navywife0514 - she is 6 1/2 ( the 1/2 is important) and she came home from school with a worm in her pocket that she 'rescued' from the playground....yeah. LOL

DebbieT - I grew up in the Bay Area, moved to the Central Valley in '01. Yay...we'll ghet to meet one way or another that weekend for sure (fur shure). My mailcarrier and I have a love/hate relationship right now....poor thing doesn't even know it ;o)

Lisvin - I'm actually looking at SW flights from Sac right now =o)

Hi everyone...hope this Friday is a reminder that we only have 6 more until we see our loved ones!!! WOO HOO!!!! Same for me as my other (mom) shipmates no letter...hopefully tomorrow. Thanks again for posting all of your questions/comments - reading them keeps me sane knowing I'm not the only one!

Kellee: I just noticed we are fairly close to each other. We may run into each other at the airport if you fly out of Sac.
