WELCOME TO PIR 10/12/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Add me to the Happy Mom Parade - two letters in the mail today!  My baby said that he is tired and working hard, but doing well.  He has made some friends in his Division (822) - which helps.  He also said mail from home and friends is great, so keep the letters coming.  He said the food was good and he was eating plenty.

Said his Division gets some looks because they are Bad A$$  (the SpecOps attitude is kicking in!)

All in all, he sounded good and it was great to hear from him.  Fingers crossed that letters for the rest of you keep arriving.  I didn't think a letter from him would make such a difference, but I guess I was worrying more than I realized because I feel like a weight has been lifted from my heart.

Go Navy! So proud of our young men and women.

Kellee, That is the sweetest thing I've ever seen! What a wonderful brother!
BP's Mom, I do the same thing at work with my cell...it's comforting to see what's going on with the other moms & dads. Thanks to everyone for responding about ages...Kevin is in very good company!

Evening all!! I know I don't post on here too much but really enjoy keeping up on everyone via my cell phone (sneak peeks while at work!!). We still haven't gotten a letter but from what I'm reading it could be tomorrow or Saturday (fingers crossed!!). All your questions and comments have been fantastic and I do appreciate them even if I don't contribute often. Only8weeks - we received a phone call last Saturday which was not info or medical related...a few were surprised that we did receive one so early - not sure why it happened. It was only 9 minutes long but was fantastic. He called mid-morning...not sure if that helps or not. Good night all and can't wait to read how we all heard from our loved ones tomorrow (again, fingers crossed).
