Fingers crossed for all you parents still waiting for the first letters. Sure it will be here tomorrow or Saturday. :)
I am so happy to hear that mail is getting out. It's great to hear how our loved ones are doing. Fingers crossed today or tomorrow a letter for me!
Great to know that some are starting to get letters....Mine is still sitting at home waiting for me to read it....UGH
Mommaross.....Glad your migraine went away..... :}
No mail here in new jersey from the SS Minnow ship 11 div 335
Today is my SR's 18th birthday. Hoping for his sake that nobody finds out, but I'm thinking he got lots of cards, so...In the letter we received yesterday he said, "Please write constantly." Here I thought I was writing too much simple, random stuff. I guess it doesn't matter, as long as we say something, every day!

Woooohooooo! I got 2 letters - told work I had a migraine! Just couldn't wait any longer to see if I had mail lol!
1st letter he wrote after being awake 36 hours from MEPS and he had first watch! He said he was exhausted but would get used to it. Second letter he wrote this past Sunday said he was doing great, still has his sense of humour, says he's really tired but eating well. He said lots of people are getting sick - mainly coughs and colds so he's drinking OJ 3 times a day and eating lots of veggies and fruit and so far he's good.
He hasn't been directly shouted at - that's good. He says All you have to do is listen and pay attention and you'll do ok. He also said the Recruits that don't tuck their shirts in their pants are made to stand in the middle of the compartment and curtsey while shouting "I'm a pretty princess" lol
He's made some friends in his division already, he said everyone kinda comes together at the end of the day and it's easy to get along.
He's taking one day at a time and counting the days to PIR - So is his Momma !!!
He also wrote to his Boss and his wife. They just called me to tell me - they are so happy that he would write and tell them he misses them too. They are wonderful people who love him like family
One really happy momma today :)
Has anyone received any mail from Ship 09, Division 328 yet? No mail here in TX:( So depressing! Hope I get one tomorrow.
