Heidemarie, thanks. Could you blow a kiss to my sailor for me?
Kellee, Ouch! Hope the toe isn't broken.
navywife0514, take a deep breathe! ((hugs)) Being a Navy wife is one of the toughest jobs in the world, but we know you can do it!
My son also had chickenpox twice, the first time he was only 14 months old and it was a "mild case" as his doctor called it. The second time was my fault {sigh}, I had shingles and gave him chickenpox at 19 years old.
He has heard the stories about chickenpox at RTC and feels for these SRs who get them, although he laughs at it because he knows what it is like.
Good luck to the spotty ones, heal fast!
Hey Everyone - finally got on the laptop (hubby has been hogging it being the Navy Dad page hahahah)
Thank you all for saying that Nick was sweet for taking little sister to Build-a-Bear=o) I've tried for the last 10 minutes to send the pix from my phone the address under settings on here and nothing, nada, zero =o(
@rcabrera - I got a call from daughter's school 2 days after we saw my son off. She was crying when a plane went by and just wouldn't stop =o(
@Sub Dad....I'd like to be in on the Pumpkin Spice too!!!
Soooooo.....no mail!! Hopefully tomorrow. Well, I gotta go ice my foot....my little one left her stool out and my small toe decided they needed to be introduced. It's a lovely shade of purple and twice it's normal size now !
Yes Momof3djm my son has had chickenpox twice - once as a baby when he lived in England and once when he live here in the U.S. Guess the strains differ from country to country lol
Boxinator, sorry your son has the Chicken pox again, but on the bright side at least you got to talk to him sounds like a great guy, glad he is doing well :)
Wow, Boxinator, I didn't even know you could get them twice. He sounds good at least.
Niffer, Lol, that's so funny.
Sub Dad, my husband has been making his own beer for about 4 years now and everyone says his Pumpkin Spice is his best brew.
My sailor's aircraft carrier docked in San Diego (from Bremerton, WA) where they are picking up the planes on their way to deployment. I just love that we can watch them come in on the webcams in San Diego Harbor. It's good to know that he is on land, at least for today.
Nope... you're not losing it. And if you are, no worries because you're not alone. I was actally wondering if I left now and drove 11 hours straight could I get to the hospital by visiting hours tomorrow morning!! And YES! I could! Now that's officially losing it!!
He said there's a soon-to-be-graduating division that has a real outbreak of Chicken pox.... so that's how he got it. I am sure he's not alone... so hang in there, your SR might be next on the Q-parade!!
Niffer - I like the way you think :
Ok - I am offically losing it....I yelled at my husband yesterday for getting the mail (if I had gotten it there would have been a letter); @mommaross - I too considered leaving "sick" to check the mail box; and @BoxinatorMom - my SR has not had Chicken Pox yet and I actually thought - if he gets it it might be worth it - I'll get a call!! (I am a horrible Mom :o( )
lol
