Hey all....sorry for being clueless.. who is Lala ribbon Queen and what are these awesome ribbons she makes? I've caught little snippets of here and there but its mostly thanking Lala. =o)
I'm truly having a hard time finding direct flights from California. Anyone from my area book their flights yet? Thanks
Keep the info coming - great to hear from all!
Hi everyone! I just added my husband's ship and div...and I hope to find more people with son/husband in the same ship/div!
BTW...what is the MeetandGreet? I'm kind of lost....
Thanks
Thats what I'm hoping for RuthY. I put my mailman on notice today :)
Betsy: The number of sailors who graduates varies....I was just giving an average number. There very well could be 80 in a division still graduating.
Darthvadersmom: The link Betsy gave you is the only one I know about! Hope she joins this group too though. We would love to have her!
Mail is held for them until the Recruit Mail Petty Officer is trained to handle the mail (usually takes about 2 weeks). They usually get their first mail on a Sunday and can write that day too. Mailed out on Monday. After that, they receive mail M-F.
yes, always check the form letter address with the one the recruiter may have given you. Sometimes they are moved. The recruiters get the addresses off the computer. Don't worry, if you wrote letters to the recruiter's address, they will get them...may just take a bit longer (mail is held from them for the first 2 weeks anyway).
Glad to see you back, FTLW! Feel better!
Ladies, check out the MeetandGreet info she posted up top on this page!
My sons recruiter said I could call him for my sons address a couple of days after he left for boot camp. He told me ship 04 Div 333 when I received the letter from Dan He was on ship 14 Div 333. Your SR could have been moved.
Hi Ladies and Gents.
Note to self any others who might have to do this.......My SR called yesterday and needed paperwork that had already submitted when he signed and when he went to MEPs. Well it seems not all his original papers found their way to BC. I spent 4 hours this morning trying to sort this out. In a last resort I called into the recruiters (God love our recruiters). One almighty "what do they want"????? And a call to a Commanding Officer somewhere and it was all sorted out :)
"NOW WHY DIDN'T I THINK TO GO TO THE RECRUITERS FIRST" ???
Our recruiter and his Commanding Officer (didn't catch his name - too stressed) both told me "call us - that's what we are here for - If we can help we will, if we can't we'll point you in the right direction. There isn't a wrong or stupid question Maam". As long as I live I'll never tire of being called Maam :)
