If my SR is going to Conneticut after Great Lakes, will he ship out on Sat after PIR?
Hello everyone! How is everyone today?
How wonderful for everyone who got to speak to their SR!! Here's to hoping we all do soon! :o)
I haven't seen anyone from Ship 11 Div 332 yet - anyone?
jewels, usually the divisions will graduate with somewhere around 80 or so in each division.
chrispool, you are in good hands on here. There are many of us with our sailor being our youngest child, me included. We also have many empty nester's on here to, as well. (Yep, I am one too, lol.)
diannep - you are so right!! I was thinking about all of my friends who took their kids off to college these last couple of weeks. While it is true they get to see their kids while I don't get to see my son, they have no idea what their kids are doing when they are off at college. Not that their kids are going to be "bad" but you just never know what is happening in that environment. Most of these kids going off to college are on their own for the first time and sometimes things can get a little wild lol! I do have comfort knowing exactly where my son is and for the most part I know exactly what he is doing!
My son is on Ship 14-Div 333 we are from Michigan and will be at graduation.
He is my youngest of three so this has been a challenge for me, but I am hanging in there. We have the box and the form letter, waiting for his first real call or letter.
hopeesmom, that is so good that you got to hear her voice. Stay safe.
Welcome to our new members!
Yah, hopeesmom! So glad you got to talk to her....and be safe! Lots of rain with this one...prayers for you all!
melray: There are 3 MeetandGreets, all held the night before PIR. FTLW will be posting the info as you get closer to PIR. There is SARGE's at the Sundance Saloon (the one we recommend since he has lots of info and is retired military...his food is good too!), one at the Ramada, and one at Flanigans. All are family friendly, so bring the kids!
Watch for more info later. She will probably put her yellow happy faces at the top of this page, and they spell out "meet and greets." Then you will have complete info!
All of the MeetandGreets are relatively close and around the same times, give or take an hour or so. They are in the later afternoon/early evening.
