For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

WELCOME TO PIR 10/12/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the timeto read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Have not reecieved any calls or any more letters. I hope we do soon.

I am so proud of him <3

My husband says that it may be another week or so (he has been in the Navy for 20 years). If anyone has a son or daughter in ship 14 division 334.... would love to hear from you. Send me a message and invite!!

He said others in his div are having to call home today for similar info!!!! Stand by your phones ladies caller id said Waukegan, Il 847....... He told me what he needed and then said I have 1 minute mom - ask me what you want :). No he's not sleeping very well (didn't elaborate), hell, yes he's eating well. It's everything he thought it would be - and they are on Week 1 day 3. He sounded good and said they had all written letters yesterday so we should be getting them later this week. OMG - I'm so freaking happy to have heard his sweet voice. Told him I loved him and was proud of him but no I love you back - he said someone was listening to him :) I'm skipping around the house right now. Woohoo so happy

what is your boyfriend going to do? My son is SWCC.
