diannep wrong info..But I do know when if you private message me..
Ok, so, I was told that 822 was doing BattleStations last night, but no calls yet?
Gotta love that Taco Bell. LOL
Just had a call from my son. He sounds good, had to go because Taco Bell opened. He said he will call again Wednesday.
Just had a call (div 337). He sounded really great. They are all getting very excited for Fri. Anyone that I told about the night that the SR's for div 337/338 it is still that same night. My SR told me that they may not get to call with the "I'm a Sailor" call on the day after. He said that they will have to practice for PIR. (I hope they can still call--I want to hear those words from him) The RDC's were placing bets as to how many would pass out from being so tired. LOL
The SR's were going to be having their firefighting testing tomorrow (putting out an actually fire with all their gear on). He said they did the gas chamber (he loved it he had been waiting for that the whole time). He said they are all working well together.
Can hardly wait. I hope everyone travels safe and can't wait to see everything.
frogkisses - Can you explain what the alternate route is? I won't be able to attend Sarge's event if it's explained there.
Ladies, if planning on airport visits with your sailors, please doublecheck that all have their IDs before leaving the hotel so you can get gate passes at the airport. Very sad that one girlfriend forgot hers and wasn't able to wait with her sailor at the gate. :-(
Thanks Jen - I'll make sure i'm early and have my ID lol
We got to the gate about 6:50. I had planned to get there at 6:30 but about a block from the gate my 16 yo daughter announed that she had forgot her ID. So I turned the van around and headed back to the hotel. At the hotel we had an issue with he room key not working. All is well that ends well tho. We took the alternate route that Sarge told us about and it was a life saver. We didn't wait long in line at all. They were letting people in through the North entrance as well as the South visitors center entrance. That line looked longer so we walked to the north entrance. We sat up in the balcony, so there were very few people there when we got seated. The floor seats fill up first. The balcony filled up last.
All the best to you. It was amazing.
Grandmother ship 9 - well said
Frogkisses - glad you had a great visit - what time did you get to the gate? How long were you in line? What time did you get to the bleachers? Saw your pics on FB they were great. I'm soooo excited for this Friday
