LoriM almost beat me to the weather punch but we're close enough where this one should be pretty good.

PIR Friday: Sunny, 8mph wind, high of 52. It will feel  a bit chillier than that, the wind is off the lake. The low the night before will be 38- layers, layers, layers. For those who will be hanging around our lovely city on Saturday rain is expected so you need to dress for that also. It will be a chilly rain although a bit warmer than Friday--

I live about 30 or so miles west and although they were 35 this morning I was 28 chilly-to-let-the-dogs-out degrees :). Cheers my friends--prayers as I await my own "I'm a sailor call". My nerves are killing me!!!!

Good morning - chilly one here in NY. Good luck to all the divisions going through BS this week! Only 3 more days until we get to see our Sailors. I can't wait!!

Good morning PIR 10/12 group...

My son just had his PIR last weekend. So I am fresh off the boat here, so to speak. Any question you might have feel free to ask. It was an amazing day.

...to add to LoriM's post about the weather....remember, RTC is very close to the lake....so there is lots of wind usually...and it can be bone chilling.  So layers is a great idea.  You should find it comfortable inside PIR hall.

Grandmother:  You are very welcome!  We N4Moms veterans love helping you all!

NavyWife:  Many times, your sailor can ride the shuttle back with you for FREE!

Ok, so not sure who if any went through BattleStations last night.  It was reported by one mom that 822 did.  Could 948 have gone too?  Just not sure as I received conflicting info.  But have the phones handy this afternoon just in case.

It matches NY at 36 as of 8 am. Only 3 more days and 23 hrs left ladies!!! Hooyah

Just a weather note.  In MI only 34 this morning with frost and it was cold all weekend.  We did have to turn the heat on.  So Great Lakes area is usually like our area for weather so dress in layers.  I think I might bring gloves for the morning walk to PIR.

Comment by LoriM (div 337--Kevin's submom) on October 8, 2012 at 7:58am

YEAH for everyone who was getting calls just to talk.  Lets hope the rest of us get those "I'm a Sailor" calls in the next couple of days. I am not good with waiting for things to happen at the last minute.  But I have been getting better--bootcamp has made me see the light (you as a mom really don't have control). LOL

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on October 8, 2012 at 3:51am

Yes, your Sailor can ride the Shuttle back with you to the Hotel.

Don't worry about repeat questions...ask away!

Comment by NavyWife8808 (Ship 03 Div 337) on October 7, 2012 at 11:24pm

It may have been discussed before but does anyone know if my SR can ride the shuttle back to the hotel with us after PIR?
