WELCOME TO PIR 10/12/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Anyone heard from div 333, haven't heard anything since he called on Sept. 22

LoriM--we had a couple of cold fronts roll through plus the winds turned North that's why. The temp will be quite chilly (and by the way my house still hasn't hit 50, it was 39 when I woke up at 7am). It's holding at 58-60 and sunny for PIR but the low will be upper 30's, low 40's----it's all about the layers as usual in lovely Chicago :). Hope it helps and I'll post again early next week weather wise.

LaLa, Thank you again so much for the ribbons.  They are beautiful. I can't wait to wear mine.  It will be a great added bonus to my son's scrapbook.

Waiting for div 330. No sleep last night. Sending good thoughts to all who are waiting as I am and to those who got got The Call already-CONGRADULATIONS!. It was a long haul but they made it.

mommaross:  In that case, you will have to mail them to their A School.  I did this with my son...he called with the address a couple of days after he arrived.  No problem receiving it.

Comment by diannep on October 5, 2012 at 10:27am

They don't do BattleStations on Fri or Sat nights.  Lets hope for calls this afternoon from 329/330/331/332.

RobyS I'm with you.  My son said yesterday that they had been up since 5.00am the day before and that some of them were falling asleep marching to make their calls :)

Pensacola - My son said they've been told as there's so many of them going to P'cola that they are staggering the numbers who travel.  They have been told some will fly out Sat, Sun, Mon and possibly Wed! My question is how do we get them their electronics if they fly out Mon or Wed and families fly out Sunday?
