OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

outi - I haven't had a call in over 4 weeks (mine is 428) - I've heard after the 3rd or 4th week they don't always get to make phone calls any more and they only "earn" them occasionally.  As much as it is killing me, I'm really not expecting another phone call until the "I'm a Sailor" call (Hopefully the end of next week!!)

CShells,i am thinking it is training week 6.....1 or 2?

Comment by diannep on October 24, 2013 at 7:55am

Torie: I believe that today is Training Week 6-1 (day) for 423/424.

Comment by diannep on October 23, 2013 at 9:49pm

Torie:  This group should be around Training week 5, some starting week 6 before the end of the week.  BattleStations for this PIR group start later next week.  They continue during PIR week.

Comment by diannep on October 23, 2013 at 9:47pm

No, sunshinefam.  You just need proper government issued ID to get on base and your name needs to be on your sailor's updated guest list.  Cars need to have proof of insurance if you drive onto base, and gate pass.  Students can get on base with photo student ID....birth certificates, social security cards are backup IDs for those too young to have student ID.

Comment by sunshinefam on October 23, 2013 at 9:04pm

To print the Parking Pass/Gate Pass, go http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp within 11 days of PIR.

I answered my own question. regarding the parking pass.  It is on RTC website referred to us by lemonelephant.  Thus far, the Application for Nov. 8th

Good Evening All, The Nov PIR ceremonies are approaching very quickly.  In order to drive on the base do we need to submit any information before hand?  I have read, that you just need general goverment ID.
