ZacsMansMom: I agree with the ladies to not write about this to him, but have another suggestion. Tell him in the I'm a Sailor call...after he has shared all of the good things with you about becoming a sailor. By then, I hope that your dad is doing very well so you can add that, but you can prepare your new sailor for the fact that his grandfather will not be at PIR. I would hate for him to be searching the stands for him during PIR, spot you, and wonder what happened since his gf wouldn't be there. Just a suggestion!
ZacMansMom-I would ditto Jojo's comments. There is much to do in this last 2 weeks and your SR needs to focus to do what must be done to graduate. Lack of focus makes it really hard to get it done.
I've not seen my SR since August 7 and I still don't tell her everything - she's had a difficult time in boot and she needs to see that light at the end of the tunnel.
ZacMansMom2012,(ship14,div007)- aawww sorry to hear about your dad... my advice would be to tell him after wards when you can reassure him that it all went well. good luck to your dad...and prayers to him
I need some advice: My dad had to have emergency surgery yesterday on his stomach and I don't know whether to tell my SR in a letter about this, he is so very close to his Papa and Zach has put him on the list for PIR and he will not be well enough to travel. What do you think? Tell him in letters or after PIR?
HeatherT(09/003)- I'm with you ....15 more days....2 more Friday's ....either way you look at it ....HAPPY DANCES ALL THE WAY AROUND!!
We are at our final stretch my Navy Family...YAY :)
Good morning all

Good Morning Ladies!
Congrats, Jojo!
Hahahaha! He DID mean the museum of science & industry! After reading the letter a little closer, he was saying he would like to go there after graduation, if possible! I've been deciphering too many acronyms!!
