Alohagirl, we all will keep in touch, glad to hear he is doing well. I have been texting with C since he arrived in Pensacola, it has been great. Wish I could of met everyone Tuesday night, would of been a blast.
Yay Jo, how exciting. My son will be getting married the end of next month, needless to say it's been quite busy around our house the last few months and having him in Bootcamp made it a little harder because he wasn't there to make any real decisions.
Yeah, CT is colder. Except they still have nicer weather than we do in WI! NOT FAIRRRR! :p
Matt's working on his watch quals, had his eyes fall out of his head touring a sub (I think he's more excited than he let on), and in general is having a good time exploring a new area. He's not too sure about Christmas leave, but he's dropped hints about "looking at jewelry stores"...
So yeah. Looks like I'll be married (at least on paper) before I graduate from college in May. It's a little hard to wrap my mind around!
Evening everyone...thought I'd drop a quick note...my SN is all settled in at A School, he started his classes yesterday and after school went and toured a sub...he is spending his check at the NEX on military jackets and extra socks...guess Conn is a tad bit cooler than Fla...he's not sure he has his correct mailing address yet so until he does, no laptop...he's been texting up a storm tho so I love that he took his cell!! Have a huge pile of stuff to mail to him that he's started to request...the cutest thing ever was a pic he took w his cell of his "first take out order" (chinese food to go) I'm thinking he likes being Mr Independent...he said he has ALOT to get down this week for school...as they complete certain things they get more liberty...the yellow liberty card is being dangled in front of them right now, so they can wear civilian clothes. He said that he's heard rumors about xmas leave and it's not good, so he doesn't want me to worry until he finds out anything for sure...
Also wanted to say how fun it was getting to know the Mom's that I did get to meet at the Meet and Greet, and a special shout out to my chauffeur and traveling companion! I know we are all going to be going our seperate ways now as my son has been seperated from almost all his BC buddies, but don't forget about us and know that we are wishing ur Sailors the best!!
Aloha,
Dee~
diannep - I will miss visiting with you but hopefully I'll see you around. I can only hope to be as helpful to other "newbies" as you were to us but I am going to try. Thank you so much for your support over these last 8 weeks!!! Blessings to you and your family!
{{{{{{{{{{{diannep}}}}}}}}}}}}}} You have been such a godsend to all of us during our bootcamp experience. Many Blessings to you and yours. Don't be a stranger! Much love.............
Leaving this group now....congrats, ladies! Blessings to your sailors in their Navy futures! Remember, all of you are now N4Moms veterans so feel free to jump on any of the groups now to share your info with the newbies!
LOL - too funny. B told me to put AO in front of his name - hopefully his package will get to him. My guess is that A school won't be quite as picky as boot camp - so as long as his name and address are there we should be ok (hopefully!!). I may change out the way I address stuff in the future to SR.
LOL Diana! Happy Tuesday everyone.
FTLW, always a wealth of information. Thank you! A funny story, I told my daughter that I'd just put SA Last, First etc to which she shot back immediately: "NO! I'm an SN! A Seaman!" (I thought so as her rating is E-3) Well, at least I got the right info. LOL
Happy Tuesday everyone!
