Do I have to be careful about who I give johns address to? John was a server and has a lot of regulars who want to get a hold of him. Should I just mail their letters?

I heard about it in Boot camp for Moms...lol...they were lighting blue candles for their recruits...Battlestations takes place over many days because I think it is done two or three divisions at a time. So, we need to be asking our recruits when that is and getting a blue candle so we can burn one in their honor while they are at Battlestations. I was going to wait until next week for that task and I will talk more about it then. Thought we would get through letters this week.

Speaking of things you can do. If you are a facebook person, send me your facebook name in a message and I will send you a blue candle via facebook for you to post. It is really neat and you can send it to your friends with a reminder to keep your recruit in their thoughts and prayers.
Second, Moms you can contact your local American legion Auxillary and get a Blue Star Flag or Placard that goes in your window to signify that you are the mom of military person. This is free and maybe it is also for wives...I am not sure about that.
As we get closer to the end, there is also a place that you can order FREE welcome home banners from and I will get you that information so that whether you use it for Christmas, or their first furlough, or after their first trip to sea, you should take advantage of that opportunity.
Just a few things to think about like you don't already have enough to think about.....lol!!!

Lynne - how did you know that other group was doing Battlestations? and it was just 3 days before graduation? I thought they did it about 2 weeks before??? If our sons PIR is 11/5, when do you think they will do Battlestations? Thanks for all your info. So glad you got a letter today. I'm hoping for one tomorrow!

KatPre1 - our sons are in the same division and the extended zip is 3127. No letter today. He arrived at BC the night of the 14th. Strange how some arrived much earlier than that and they are all the same graduation day. Made my reservation tonight at the Springhill Suites. Looks nice!
