Hi all!  I thought this might be a good way for us to connect!  So took the advice of some other moms.  Hopefully we can get information on when we start receiving calls and letters and other info!

Just a question...I got the form letter that says son's PIR is 3-11.   His division is 102 and just got there.  I have read that his div is getting "pushed" thorough.  Is this just rumor, or could his PIR change?

Kelly, My sons PIR is 3-11 and he is also going to nuke school in SC.  I had thought to save the money and just visit him in SC but i cant resist...I will eat the cost to see him graduate AND visit in SC this summer.   I am also in SoCal, maybe over the course of the next two years we can keep in touch and, if necessary make a road trip to SC.

Hi Kelly-Matt's Mom, we are from So. Cal. also and our SRs were probably in San Diego at the same time and shipped out in the same group 1/6.  In fact we took 2 of the recruits to dinner with us.  It is amazing how quickly they bond and make friends.  Would love to stay in touch.

Oh and question! In anyone's letters did the SR's say they had received your letters?

Something to make everyone smile:

I (like so many of you) have my phone glued to by "backside" ;) I don't get a lot of calls except for from my mom. So the phone has rung every couple of days and I rush to pick it up-I'm so excited I literally feel like my heart is going to explode right out of my chest...and it's my parents. Haha! So the last time my mom called I picked up the phone and said, "MOM! YOU HAVE TO QUIT CALLING, I'M GOING TO GO INTO CARDIAC ARREST IF THIS HAPPENS ONE MORE TIME!" :) Luckily she takes it all in stride.

I think for us Floridians, the letters will come in tomorrow! Me and my mother in law are just losing our minds together waiting on something! We're both up until 5 and 7 a.m. every day and we both look like sleepless wrecks...can't wait to hear from my <3

Got my first letters today! On his birthday so special. He says he will be a grad and go and that he will leave on Saturday and that we shouldn't even come to PIR because it will be so expensive. We are in Southern CA. I will still go of course. I couldn't miss it no matter what the cost. I do wonder if anyone knows what to expect since he is a grad & go. He is going to SC for nuke school. It's gonna be a long month of Feb. wait I just thought of something Feb is the shourtest month. =)

Ashlove and Valerie, Congratulations! I imagine that you guys are probably on Cloud 9 right now. I'm still waiting patiently (or maybe impatiently) for a letter. Thanks for sharing your good news!
