Got the letter today too.

Ship 12 Div 097

Handwriting all the letters I typed up on the computer this past week right now. I went out and bought decorative paper and envelopes so he has something entertaining to look at. I bought him two cards and printed pictures of me, him, and our son. I also printed out the questionare that lala ribbon put up here so i can use them. I also printed this  http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/good-advice-for-navy-boot-camp for him, i know its suppose to be for before they leave, but i think it could help them.

We haven't gotten the form letter yet, but we found out from his recruiter today that he is in Ship 02 Div 917. I finally get to start sending all my letters to him! Can't wait to get some from him :)

If anyone on this site is in a division from 91 and higher, and the PIR date was listed in the letter as March 4th, it is incorrect. It is actually 3/11.  See the post below to JakesMom.  Div 91-102 and 917 are PIRing on 3/11.

JakesMom:  The PIR date is incorrect in your letter.  You can call the Public Affairs Office for confirmation (847-688-2405) but his date is actually 3/11, just like this group!  Also check the upcoming graduation dates on RTC site and you will see 91 is listed in 3/11.  Now it is very possible that he will become a sailor on 3/4 because he most likely will be in the first BattleStations group to go for his PIR group since he is in 91, the first division.  If they go on Feb 3rd/4th, he becomes a sailor on the 4th!  But PIR date is 3/11.
