Lala you have me nearly in tears! Its nice knowing I'm not going crazy and knowing I'm not the only one going through this. Thanks to all of you, just in the past day I have been on here, I have felt alot better knowing I can reach out to other mothers and wives going through the same thing I am at the same time. What Lala wrote is exactly what I have been thinking. Thanks girls! Lets stick together, we will see our loved ones soon!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. I know it is hard not knowing for sure what your son or daughter is doing right now.. are they eating, homesick. Having a hard time adjusting or wondering what the heck they have gotten themself into. Just know that these first couple of weeks are filled with paper work, and classes about rules, and learning the proper way to shine your boots and make a bed. The time passes quickly for the recruits. They are kept so busy they barely have time to think lol. You will be amazed at the changes your recruit has made in just a few weeks. I think sometimes it is harder on the loved ones at home because they just want to know what is happening and how their recruit is doing. Hang in there and write lots of letters. Everyday if you can. Visit other groups pages that are further along than yours. You don't have to jjoin the groups to read what is happening. You will learn a lot about what to expect. Right now it feels like time is dragging but before you know it you will be packing you suitcase and printing your parking pass. Make sue you keep your form letter in a safe place. You will need it later to print your parking pass. If anyone has questions or would just like someone to talk to who has been through this please send me a friend request. I am happy to help.

waitinonmysailor:  I'm glad Jessica gave you the information I posted to someone else with your issue of maybe the wrong PIR date.  That person was in Div 92.  So I'm not sure if they have added more divisions to 3/4 but have not updated the RTC graduation site, or if this is an error and they are in 3/11.  Please post on here after you talk to the PAO.  Their office opens at 9 am GL time, I believe.

Hello...

I'm assuming this will be my son's PIR date.  He arrived in GL on the 12th. I haven't received his box or a letter as of yet but we are on the west coast so I'm hoping for next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Hello, My husband arrived on Wed the 12th, so I am guessing this will be the right group. I didnt realize I would miss him soo much, I feel like I am going to cry every second of everyday so far. We have a 2yr old son and I am worried that he will forgot his daddy.

Does anyone know when we will receive the first letters from our recruits?

I live in near Pittsburgh Pa and would love to get to know anyone that lives semi-close.

FLARobin:  Click on this link and you will see the division numbers listed for PIR 3/4. They don't have PIR 3/11 on there yet.  Post if you talk to the PAO about this because I would be interested in knowing what they say.

FLARobin:  I had a feeling that it was written in the letter (your recruit should have written it in).  Your recruit may have been told that was the date, but if 92 is his division number, I don't think so. I have a suggestion:  On Monday, call the Public Affairs Office  847-688-2405 and tell them your division number and that PIR 3/4 was written in there.  Let them tell you.  I can't imagine that they will add more divisions to PIR 3/4 at this point...but talk to them and see what they say.  The Public Affairs Office # is for you all with questions, but always ask on here first since many times we can answer questions for you.
