YAH Renerico!  That is so often the case.  They write when they are down, and are back "up" by the time you read it.  So GLAD that he called!  Happy Day!  And that he passed the test!  HOOYAH!

Thanks I have been in knots since last week when I got that letter and have experience a million emotions since then  I was so happy to get that call and hear I'm okay that's all any of us need ! I can finally sleep tonight knowing my son okay and he knows I love him and support him. I usually post on facebook pages with a couple of ladies that I have become friedns with the countdown I try to include different little sayings each night before I go to sleep so that when they awake they can see the days and my little message to them It's been a little tension breaker for them and I look forward to doing it each night It gets me through We have some with different PIR's and we get to share in their happiness as well as look forward to our own.

Reneric~ so happy for you and your son.  It is very nice to hear good news and I can tell you are feeling so much better!  What a relief!  We all will be proud to see him at PIR!

Reneric- That is SUCH good news! I think you were probably more relieved than any of us to get the call. It sounds like you taught him well and he was just venting to you when he wrote. I laughed and almost cried through your post. I loved that he thought you would be at the gate getting arrested, that is something me and my SR have joked about too!

I also really liked your idea about the countdown sheet. I think I am going to send my SR one too!

My prayers must have worked Eric called and he told me that he so sorry he sent that letter to me that he was just so down and after he sent it he thought she's going to go nuts He expected me at the front gate on Saturday getting arrested .LOL He said he is really being ragged on but he thought about what I would say to him if I were there and he decided he would fight for what he wanted and not care what anyone was doing to him and get what he needed to do done just like how he had to do in High School. He said he already passed the test he got asmoed for and he had two different jobs and something about Petty officer but I couldn't understand as I am severly hearing impaired and I didn't want him to repeat anything because he was trying to tell me everything. He did say he is trying to practice at carrying the flag at PIR but wasn't sure as it is really heavy and he was suprised but he said he was going to keep trying I told him It didn't matter to me all I wanted is when those door opened up to see him marching in and he would make me the proudest MOM in the world He got to talk to my oldest son DJ's best friend who happened to be here so I know that meant a lot to him as he always told since DJ's gone he'll always have his back if he ever needed it . He even wrote him a letter before he left and I already mailed it so he'll have another surprise I am so grateful that he's okay. I told him how were all counting down here and I sent him a counting down sheet to mark off his days. Lots of I love yous and finally we had to say goodbye ! Thank you Lord for such a wonderful day !!!!!!!!

My son called his girlfriend tonight!  She said he sounded very good...missing everyone was the hardest part of BC.  ~blisters and wisdom teeth weren't a walk in the park though!  Very relieved to know that things are going well.  He also wanted to make sure that we kept writing!

It's almost time to flip the calendar over to April!  I can't wait for PIR!
