Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Im still trying to figure this site out. dont get on it much. stacy ship 3 div 149 my son did leave 3/1 out of big d on same day. Have not seen the letter yet but got his address from recriuter and wrote 4-5 letters. The will love to hear their named called for mail call. so write often.

dayciavu-yes i'm going to PIR. Are you? Still trying to figure out if I want to tackle a LONG drive or expensive plane! I have a toddler, so plane sounds nicer to me!

Finally got the form letter with 4 short sentences.  Son's first sentence " Hey Mom and Dad make sure to pay my rent on the first of every month."  Glad to see his head for finances has not completely escaped. His PIR is 4/29.  Would love to know sooner if he is a grad and go (i.e. leaving on Sat for Pensacola A School or if he has a couple of days.  Letter was sort of vague on this.  I miss my SR!

Jessica:  I think you meant PIR 5/6, right?  The 8th is a Sunday?
