For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by m3 on April 6, 2011 at 7:02pm: Got a letter today! Hubby has a cold and a sore throat but is doing overall a lot better! I think he is finally starting to enjoy himself! He is VERY happy that they can now write on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

He sent my little brother a letter also.

I'm so happy! =]

He said they have a LOT of stuff to do this week, and he is excited he gets to miss some of the "hard stuff" because of his surgery tomorrow. hah. Hopefully he will get to call me after and let me know everything went well! That would be AMAZING!

Ugh, my mail doesn't get here until 4 so I have a little bit longer to wait!

When he went to the hospital the other day, they took a picture of his ear drum and the let him take it with him to send me....and I'm really excited to get it! haha. I love stuff like that...I sent him a large envelope because he said he had a whole bunch of stuff to send me this week, so I really hope it comes today!!

Others in his division called home but he didn't. I thought maybe he was on watch and would call another time but here I am still waiting.
