Hello Birdiejr,

My son just reenlisted yesterday, on the anniversary of his enlistment 4 years ago! Time really does fly. He will be coming home this week and will get married to his high school sweetheart next week! We are so happy and excited :) Glad to hear that your son is happy too! Blessings to each of you and your Sailors.

Wow, it's been a year since PIR!  I hope all of you and your sailors are doing well.  There have been many twists and turns throughout the past year for some of us I'm sure.  I just remember how excited we all were last year at this time.

Hi Christy - my son wasn't in this PIR, but did B/S with them (he was injured). now he's at Corry Station doing IT also in the 3:30 to 12:30 class.  Did your son just finish his A+ Certs?  They may be in the same class.  They do study a lot.  It seems that they go from one challenge (physical) to another - educational!  We visited P'cola over Labor Day weekend (along with Tropical Storm Lee!!!)  Not much beach time - but it was great to see my son!  When you go, I recommend the Fish House Rest.  It was great!

Southern Mom, and everyone else in our PIR group.  My son Justin is also in San Antonio, Texas and is really liking it.  He was really happy about starting his classes last week.  I am taking a trip out there this weekend to see him and I am taking him clothes, camera and baseball glove.  We talk almost everyday which is really nice.
