wish I had met your Sailor, loved his little Dtr., my Sailor is in Pensacola also. I teared up when they boarded and the other passengers applauded for them. It was a moment I'll never forget.

I have meet so many wounderful ladies...your the best.  Glad to hear that all is working out for all the Sailors.  We got extra time with our Sailor that we did not expect as we had Friday and all day Sat.  Everywhere we went people stopped to thank him for serving this country...it brought tears to my eyes every time. We traveled into Chicago via public transportation and in the city via tram, bus and boat and it was free for our sailor and his daughter.  I have never seen a city so patriotic and thankful for the service our men and wamen are willing to give..it made me even more proud America as a nation.  Hope to stay in touch with some of you.  OUr sailor is in Pensacola Fl.  and already adjusting and making mor sailor mates.

Congratulations Terry'sproudmom!!!!! Enjoy the time you have with your Sailor at PIR.

Someone on N4M commented that their new Sailor was a bit shy by the attention and didn't know quite what to say when strangers thanked them for their service - I noticed that in my son too.  Their son came up with the answer, "it's an honor to serve".  That seems very dignified and respectful - just like our new Sailors! I passed that on to my son and he seemed to like it.

Thanks Birdiejr.  He told us because he is going to be a Seabee he will have five more weeks of basic training at A school....the warfare portion of the Marine basic training.....HMMMM....is there a group for that?  Just kidding but I am sure you all feel as I do.  I survived because of all the wonderful people on N4M's!!!
