FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The only phone call I received was the 30 second, Im here and safe. He did say he will be able to call in 4 weeks. Thursday makes 4 weeks for me. I will just be happy to hear from him by Sunday. I just cant wait to hear his voice.

So glad that you all got some calls....I know it makes you really miss them, but hopefully you got some comfort from their voices that they are safe and doing well!

This Okie mom got a call from son.  Elizabeth and Birdieir I did thte same after he had to say good bye in a hurry I just cried.  I am counting the days tell I can see him and hug him...I miss him.

Elizabeth - I did the same thing.  My hubby was so proud of me for holding it together while on the phone with him.  But boy do I miss him now.  He is craving details from the outside world so I will include more in my ltrs which he finally started getting last week.

Aussiemom- Wasn't it just great to hear their voice, and also makes me miss my SR more.
