Birdejr, I sent my SR calling cards, and activated them to save him some time.  I have also read that they can buy them there.

Quick Question:  Do we need to send our SRs calling cards?

Okay this is a long shot but.... If anyone lives in the Charlotte to Asheville NC or even upstate SC or eastern TN and needs to buy airline tickets to Ohare you may be interested in this. Asheville Airport is offering tickets to Ohare for $90.00 you must fly on Tuesday, Wednesday/ or Sat to get this price and buy your tickets in June, not sure of the exact deadline but this a great deal. Fly up on Wednesday before PIR and come back on Sat for $90 you can't beat that. Especially if your Sailor leaves on Saturday anyway. It was just on the local news here where I live (near Asheville NC) If this would work for anyone let em know and I will help you find the info you need.

MySailorMyHero:  Can you get it reinstated?  If not, I would get a State ID card.  If you have a passport, that should work too.

elizabeth:  Ahhh....this is still the really hard time of missing them so much and being hard for them too.  It gets a bit better!  By the way, if that happens to be your SR's last name in your screen name, you may want take that out.  No SR's last names on here...if it doesn't belong to your SR, then no worries!

Welcome AuntKimmie!  We always love to have more veterans on here to help out with questions so glad you are here for this group!

Just received our second letter's today, our son wrote two separate letters one to me and one to his dad.  The letter made me miss him even more and I can't stop crying.

Received our second letter today. Although it is address to our youngest, guess i have to wait for him to get in from school to see what it says.

Hi everyone!  I have a friend graduating on the 15th......so I'm not really family but consider him one of my "adopted" sailors!  So glad I found your group.  Hope all is well.  I had a niece graduate from BC on 4-28-2011 so might have some good info for anyone needing something.  Hope everyone is well!  We heard from him today by letter!
