I received 2 letters today from my son, I'm excited. He is on Ship 07 Div 225. He said he is doing well and boot camp isn't what he was expecting (he was expecting to be yelled at 24/7). He's made friends with his whole division, reports the food isn't bad and thinks he has put on some weight :) He's having (or already had) his wisdom pulled this week, his letter was dated June 7. So anyone that has a family member in this division he says they are having some issues marching but they are getting the hang of it and hopefully will pass the drill inspection, he said his division has been in trouble for excessive talking in their compartment, he didn't really say how they got in trouble but I'm sure they had to do some physical training. At the end of his letter, he said they will have phone calls but he's not sure when. This is all for now.

Thank you, JDM.  I would rather work on a car than the house, but it has to get done.  We're renting out our house when he gets orders.  Actually, the tenants are good friends of mine and they'll be moving in about a month or two before he finishes A School, so at least then I'll have help around the house!

Patrat, you are correct, i was checking my email while on break and someone came up to talk to me, when i turned back i must have focused on the wrong name

Patrat, Yay!  Maybe Thursday will be your letter day?  I never put the ship's name in my son's address and he got all of my letters.  I don't even think that I knew which ship it was at the time, lol.  I know I can't remember now, that's for sure.

Sailorlady, i am so happy for you! Isn't it amazing how even the thought of getting these letters turn us into giddy little kids :-) i swear i jumped up and down when i saw mine. I love hearing the different things they write about, it fills in the gaps that oe letter just can't close by itself :-) :-) My SR said to keep writing it was helping her through, that she was reading everything eve if she didn't get to write very often so keep up your letter writing..my Sr said to be sure and send stamps..lol
Have a good evening
