I got a call from him this Saturday. He said their mail call is all messed up and everyone is confused...he hasn't gotten any of our letters yet, but I did send them out that Monday so maybe it's just taking a bit. And he hasn't been allowed to mail his own letters out either. He said maybe today or tomorrow hopefully, if not perhaps next week. He said if his Div behaves they said he might be able to call again next weekend. They have their test this tues for physical and written. He sounded sooooo Homesick it broke my heart! I told him we already booked the hotel room and how we will be getting the plane tickets this friday. I wanted him to understand we KNOW he will and can make it through this. If he can just get our letters that will help him so much. All he has is pics of us, I wrote on a couple but not enough....

Dear Friends, I'm sorry that you have not heard anything. I guess we are the lucky ones. We got 1 letter, his girlfriend several. + a phone call (to her). not us.. ha I hope that you hear something soon.. I never heard about anyone holding mail.. That would not be right.. They might not have much time to write.. They are very busy.. Our kids are doing fine.. It's hard, but they are young and will all survive.. They are becoming grow ups now.. Not our babies anymore! We should be proud of them. I am.. Looking forward to seeing my son looking really sharp in that Navy uniform!! God Bless them for serving our country!!!

I know! It feels like it's been a month....I got the Dependents ID form in the mail today from my Husband. I think he started to write my maiden name on it because part of it is scribbled out lol. No real letter yet though...I have my hopes maybe tomorrow, if not there is always next week.

They can buy calling cards there at Basic. My Husband bought one that has 300+ minutes on it. Lol I don't think he will be able to use it all. I hope my Husband will write everyone at once, I want to hear from him soooo badly but I would feel horrible if only I got a first letter and not his Mother. We have become very close since he left and I want to see her happy. Before he left we went to the store and bought a Mother's Day card and I had him sign it and leave her a message since he would be in Boot that day and when I gave it to her she saved it until that night to read it ((Awwwwww)) I wouldn't have that kinda strength to wait lol. She loved it though.
