Have you heard from your daughter or son?  My daughter is in Div 300 and she sounds good, but tired.  Interesting in hearing how your daughter or son is doing.

We currently live in WA. Andrew was delayed for a year. He is 19. What job is your son going to do?

We live in NH, so I am surprised that is hasn't gotten here yet...hopefully today...fingers crossed! Kevin was delayed entry for about 9 months & had been training with a group during that time. he is 21, how old is your son?

Kelly59, yes I received the form letter. I had to laugh when he wrote that he was only getting an hour a sleep a night and he was trying to figure out what he got himself into. I had told him before he left that the hardest part of bootcamp was staying awake during classroom time.

Hi Andrew's Support, Our son is in Ship 4 Div 818 too, so glad to hear from you! We have never been to Great Lakes either & are looking forward to it also! Wow, you really ARE a Navy family! When did your son get to GL?

Hello everyone, my son Andrew is in ship 4 div 818. I am so excited about getting to go to Great Lakes. I have never been there. I love to travel and the Navy always gives me a reason to go somewhere new. My husband has been in for over 22 years and I work for the Navy.

JessicaB,
I have the address. Thanks for all your guidance and wealth of information, you are truly a gem.

Hi JessicaB, I noticed that the PIR website still has 8/27 as the last PIR. I haven't gotten the letter yet, but I do know my son is in ship 4, div 818 & another Mom whose son is in the same got her letter & PIR is 9/2. I know I shouldn't just assume anything until I get the letter but I have a feeling it's right. I'm sorry if I've been rambling on but I haven't been sleeping well & this site has been my connection to my son. Thank's for everyone being out there!!
