fishmom, we moved to Oklahoma from Amarillo.  At Hereford before that.  I know what you mean by flat and dry!!

my son has been in Whidbey since May.  Hailing for the flat, dry panhandle of Texas it's definitely been an adjustment! He loves the variety of places top visit and explore that are relatively close.  Look forward to when we can visit.

DEBRA:  Bravo Zulu to your Sailor!   once out of training at JAX, it just gets better and better at their Naval Station....Aircrew does a lot of traveling! He'll have some stories for ya. (our sailor's been around the world numerous times on missions & deployments-such awesome adventures! ) ♥

Washington State is heaven on earth. My youngest Sailor was stationed out there and when he finished his Navy time, he moved to Kirkland. I visited him dozens of times and we enjoyed hiking Ranier, the Cascades and the Olympics as well as eating amazing food and hanging out with some fabulous people!! I am so glad he decided to stay in that part of the world...and my hiking bags are packed...))))
