OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ladies,

I am a newbie to this group. And I have a question. My son is being transferred to the USS Ralph Johnson in Everett, WA. He has hit dead end after dead end re finding a sponsor. Any advice or suggestion I may pass on to to him? Thank you!

KELZ 89:  not usee this group is as active as it once was, but very active fpgroups on facebook?  search on Fb search bar with keywords and lots pop up.. Naval Base kitsap, North Kitsap community.  (large groups).  also just "Bremerton" with red hearts seems to be an active page.  Be sure to join or follow  the ship website too, or Naval Yard page.  email the ombudsman team to add you to their mailing/email list for updates, events, photos, newsletters, etc.  they're listed as contacts on webpages of the ships/squadrons.   join a Navy Moms group on Facebook too, there are several...they could lead you to a direct chat group for Bremerton. here's one :  https://www.facebook.com/groups/40865546374/?fref=nf
