Nancy... that works against us also... I have had lots of moms ask if my son knows their sailor... of course he has no idea if he knows them as they only go by last names or nicknames...

My son told a guy he could have a package delivered here... of course I was not told. The package arrived and I had never heard of the person! I only knew the sailor by his navy nickname! Poor guy... his package sat here for two weeks before they thought to call and ask me if it had arrived!

Anna,
Join us on the Molly Adopt a Sailor page! Just be warned it is addicting! Never feel like you are required to send stuff... the most treasured thing we send is notes, cards and letters from home! Write about your day... walking the dog, making dinner, going to work or school, fighting with your kids about mowing the lawn, working in the yard... that is what they are missing and love to hear about!

Donna, Barbara, Susan, and Storymom,
What fantastic pictures and story about the boxes being sent to our troops. Wish I could have been there helping and contributing. What an awesome thing to do. How can other moms get involved in helping out with this?

Gayle... check out the Whidbey page in the discussion area above...

As far as Whidbey... It is a much desired spot for sailors! Our summers are wonderful! Lots of outdoor things to do... hiking, boating, camping!
What squadron will your son be with??? My son is stationed there also! I am happy to exchange more info... Just send me an email!
