hey everyone i got a phone call today :) ship 3 division 173
Good Morning everyone :-) I wanted to share something with all of you. I am so happy to have this site to turn to for answers to any question I have about what my Sailor is doing or what is in store for her in the future. This site has been a God send for me. I have enjoyed being a part of so many PIR groups and getting to know all of you a little bit and some of you very well. I have made so many lifelong friends here that I now can't imagine life without. You are all a blessing to me. When we were in VA a couple weeks ago visiting our Sailor we went to the big NEX several times. It is much like a mall and filled with Sailors lol. You know I had to restrain myself from going up and talking to everyone of them and asking if their mom was a member of this site. Especially those who looked so young and you could tell they were still "pretty new" to this adventure. I wanted to hug each one of them and tell them how much we all care about and appreciate them. I am sure you all will feel the same way and will find yourself walking up to someone in uniform and thanking them for their service to our country.
Good morning all!
To all those that have heard from your SR's congrats. Those that have not, hang in there. It will come soon and will be the best 15, 20 or 30 minutes you have had in a long time.
Keep writing, praying and thinking good thoughts for them!!
Thanks Kim - Hope yours is soon!! No they don't pull everyone's...only ones that could be a potential problem down the line.
KaywaaB - The calls are all over the place. I was worried too, but got mine last night. It will happen...My son had no clue he was getting to call till they told him it was time.
ctav01 - You poor thing, that must have been so hard! My son sounded really good, but I know he is just trying to stay strong for me and for himself. He just really wants to do well. He said his DIV is down to 69 - started with about 82 or 83. They either left, or had to due to medical issues. Hang in there...It is better after hearing their voice.
Laurie - So happy you got your call....It was wonderful to hear my sons voice too!
Makaha, my daughter asked for those items as well and a tablet so I sent them. By now they know the rules and know what their own RDC will allow and won't allow. She most likely would not ask for something if she had not been told she can have it. Some RDC's are more lenient that others. I would send small 3oz bottles and a small travel deodorant. .
