C's proud Mom - hang in there....My son had his bday without us too. He wrote the letter starting the day before his bday and said have fun on my birthday tomorrow haha.

Kim - Congrats!!! Being selected for anything I believe is a great honor.  I have heard they pick ones they think have potential or can handle it. Way to go....Too bad about the shots, but that's over for now.

Also, Craig.  My nephew, heading to U of Central FL in June, will be ROTC in college.  Wants to be an Air Force pilot.  Kinda came out of nowhere to us...he didn't seem the type to want to go into the military, but is focused and makes very good grades. Seems fascinated with the Air Force pilots right now...I'm sure even moreso after attending our local "Air and Sea" show yesterday.

Craig:  The yellow lab looks just like my sweet girl, who parted with me at 13 back in 2008.  Heartbreaking to lose these sweet pups....well, maybe not the "meth lab!"  :-)

Good morning all.

Lala - I'm not sure if I told you this but my daughter is in Air Force boot camp now. The dang traitor.. j/k...  But if your daughters friend needs info about the Air Force have her go to a link on my website that I've been posting various info... The Air Force isn't like the Navy.  It's really hard to find info and their "moms" site totally sucks.  Nothing like N4M's....

Betsy, you need to get your butt over to my house and shampoo my carpets and paint my house.  I need to move too, I have a meth lab in my neighorhood.  Here is a picture of him:

Yeah Betsy, Thanks :-) that is my baby boy lol. I can't believe he is 18 yrs old and over 6' tall. The two girls in blue are my step-daughters and the girl in white is their best friend and she is joining the Air Force. And the four of them went together :-) He is a first-responder on the rescue squad and is working out now (gotta loose some weight) to get into the Navy. They grow up so fast!!!

Lala, is that your son?  He's a handsome guy.  And......the most important question is, are all those girls his dates?  :)   Awww, that's so cool that they included you in their prom night.

For my fellow veteran's... Hi Craig, Dianne, Jessica, and  hi slackers lol,

Today I was a slacker too, well as least on this site and the computer. I had a huge, very successful yard sale and then did hair and make-up for 3 girls going to prom and ironed shirt, pants etc for my son. The Navy will be teaching him how to that pretty soon, lol. They we took them all to a lake and took pictures and then to dinner at Outback (yum). They could have done dinner alone like most teens but wanted us there for some reason....maybe to pay the bill lol.I am pooped and heading to bed early. Goodnight everyone :-)

Momwith2in - thank you for the encouraging words. We did celebrate his bday before he left too...so today we will have his favorite dessert in honor of it. :-)
