You can go on-line and book your hotel rooms. Ramada already has the discounted rates for PIR graduations. It asks specifically if that is why you are reserving the room :) Mine is already booked and they do let you cancel in advance if there is a change for some reason in the dates.:)

Good Morning everyone, I hope you all are having a good week so far :-)

kim:  I wouldn't wait on reserving the hotel.  Believe it or not, they do fill up sometimes.  There is a theme park nearby so being summer, you may be competing with tourists.  Most hotels have a liberal change/cancellation policy so no harm in booking now. Ask for the PIR rate, or use your AAA rate, etc.

We stayed at Residence Inn (also Marriott) which is also near the Walmart shopping center...just a little ways down from it.  It is great for larger groups who need 2 bedrooms/2 baths/full kitchen, but like being in the same suite....living room with sofabed separates the bedrooms.  They also have studios.  PIR shuttle, PET FRIENDLY, free hot buffet breakfast.  We enjoyed our stay!

Norma:  They are located pretty much in the same area, by the Walmart shopping center.  Springhill is a little newer.  We hear great things about Springhill.  Both are Marriotts so have "Marriott standards" but...yes, Courtyard is a bit older.  PIR shuttle serves both hotels.

I am debating where to stay. Actually, I've already made reservations at Courtyard (Marriott), but I am curious if Spring Hill Suites would be better. Both are near RTC. I am worried the Courtyard may be a little haggard. Lol Thoughts?

Roses4bud - I understand.  My son is in PIR 6/08 and just had his birthday last week without us for the first time. Hang in there...We have not had a call or letter other than the "I arrived safely" - guess we need to wait another week or so....
