Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I was so emotional all day yesterday. All three of my kids (sailor plus his 17-yr-old brother and 11-yr-old sister) kept trying to "comfort" me. I finally had to explain that my tears were not tears of sadness.
I think it was the anticipation of the sailors entrance with the percussion building that first started my heart pounding. My tears started just after the sailors came marching in by division through that big door, at first sight of OUR sailor in rank. He never saw us because…

Does anyone know if I need to write "Do NOT scan" "Electronic card' on the envelope? My boyfriends dad... who is a Cop, said I need to write that but I dont want anyone to steal it because it says that. Has anyone had trouble sending these? Do they receive it with nothing written and do they work? HELP. Thanks,

Yesterday I watched my son graduate from Navy Boot Camp. It was beautiful. I cannot describe the anticipation that filled us all and no amount of cold weather, long lines, or rain while waiting in those lines could steal our joy. When that door lifted, exposing those sailors in their dress whites, lined up and ready to graduate I felt the tears start to flow and my heart filled with so much pride and gratitude to all these young men and women who are sacrificing so much to stand up…

I got a letter today thank God and everyone.
