FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This weekend has been filled with hugs and stares of my young man that will be leaving in 8 days.  I have so much to do and yet I just want to watch his every move....as if he is that 1 year old taking his first steps.  In a way, he is....he is trying so hard to be the man he should be and taking those first steps into adulthood.…

When you say it out loud, it becomes real....

BFF and I were working out tonight....looked over to her and said 12 more days.  She smiled and said it will be okay.  Then she added BC won't be that long and you'll see him.

Morning Chat

My son woke up early (as trying to get into the habit since he is normally a night owl) and once I got up...he rolled his computer chair into my room and we began our talk.  First we were reviewing all the items he needs to know before he leaves for BC....then it turned into talking about family and how each one will be missed....then we talked about the vehicles and clothes....then we talked about his future and where he sees himself in a year, two, 10 years down the road.  He shared with…

Two DEP boys in the house and one college students

Proud to say I have 2 DEP boys in my house and one college student...of course only 1 is truly mine.  I love listening to them talk...we talk about things I've read on site and discussed what it will be like.
