While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

phone call from ship 03 div 354

whoohoo we got a real phone call not the im here one it was great to hear his voice and know that he's doing good so so happy cant wait till nov 2 when i can see him again they took his wisdom teeth so he missed out on getting to make that call but sounded great and this mom may actually sleep more the 2hrs tonite he laughed when i told him im even sleeping with the phone so i wouldnt miss a call from you i so hope all the other parents get a good call like i did made my day to hear my baby…

Waiting.....

My son leaves in December. I have read some of your posts. Some have made me happy and some have scared me. Others helped me a lot so I can tell him what to do or look for. Was wondering where he might get stationed? Sounds like he needs to choose a squadron. Also sounds like he may be on land some, but primarily at sea. The recruiting so he can stay here a little longer sounds good too. A-school sounds like a pain but he'll get through it. I'm scared and nervous now. You want to baby them… Continue

Does it ever get better????

So my oldest child, and only daughter, joined the Navy straight after high school graduation. She was on the delayed entry program and left for boot camp on May 8th 2012. She made the 900th division and had a rifle solo at graduation!! Then it was off to San Antonio the very next morning for her corpsman school. Bootcamp was a breeze for her, hell for me. : ) School has been an emotional rollercoaster ride for her, as she also holds the CDC position within her division.

My first real letter!!!

Ohhhh joy Ohhhh the joy my heart is about to burst!! I got my first real letter from JT today!! He sounded sooo awesome I am just so happy to get something from him that says he is doing so well. He said he gets to carry a flag for his division PIR. And gets to say the bible verse they use as their montra. 1 Corinthians 12:26. Education/Benefits for military spouse

Hello. I have a really important questio. My husband is in the navy and I have heard from many poeple that the navy will help me out with school (grants/school money). How can I go about gwtting information about what kind of benefits a navy spouse gets and how I can get those benefits. Please Help:)

In the hospital?!?

My son left on the 24th for boot camp. Today I got a call from him and he is in the hospital. It sounds like he may have had complications from the shots. I was told that he would be in the hospital at least a couple more days. What will happen to him?

Gate Pass

Just printed our gate pass for graduation on 10/12... OMG it is almost here. I am more anxious now than in the first few weeks that he was gone. I can not wait to get the I'm a Sailor call :)

Lady Hammilton Thank you for ypur words I do realize the wonderful things my daughtet and other daughter and son around the world r doing and hav done are marvalous All I said was the time from pigtales to The US Navy seemed like the time flew bye wad to fast. Time to put it all into practice

Soon we will be heading downtown to have one more dinner out with our son. Tomorrow will be the final swearing in then leaving to Great Lakes. It has been such an abstract idea for a long time and now it is down to hours. I have been on this website for his whole DEP time and have learned a lot but now it is my turn to :

Rewards are amazing.

Kiana has been gone since August 21st and everyday has been a struggle. While some are good and no crying is involved others break my heart and out of left field I start to weep. The Box was awful...I at least knew she was okay but no word written or spoken. Then came the first heartbreaking letter. I still read it now on Oct. 2nd when she graduates in seventeen days. My son left on September 24, 2012 He is now in the Navy.

Our whole family is having to adjust to him not being home. The second day he was gone I was at work and I wanted to cry because I could not text him or have him call me when he was on his way home. His little sister sleeps with his picture. And his brother doesn’t know what to do with self because he is so close to his brother. We just really miss him being here. However…

fiance in bootcamp

Got my first phone call from my fiance last week! I thought talking to him would make me happy but it has just made the missing him and depression worse. We have never been apart for 6 years and the whole phonr call was him in tears saying how much he wish he could be with me. Which made me so sad! How do i make the time go by faster!?
