Well, that was a long day! We got to the hospital at 10:45 in the morning and left there about 4:00 in the afternoon. Will see the surgeon on the 4th of January for the results. As most of you who are following my posts about Yvonne, she had a set back a couple of months ago. Dr. Shuff sent her for a CT Myelogram which came back clear except for the top two vertebrae. So he ordered an MRI to check out those levels. Unfortunately, when she went for the MRI lying on her back hurt so much she couldn't lay still so they sent us home. On the 19th of October Yvonne had a CT Myelogram of her back to find out what is happening that may have caused the set back she experienced in her recovery about six weeks ago. We went to OBICI Hospital in Suffolk for the earliest appointment we could get. The procedure was very painful for her. But she got through it. We arrived at the OBICI Sentara Hospital in Suffolk at 7:00 in the morning. They started prepping her for the procedure at a little after 8:00. There were two parts: The injection of the dye in her spine and x-rays in various positions, and then the CT scan again in various positions. Yvonne has been walking a lot and I've been posting about it with a lot of excitement. But today she was noticing that her right foot seemed to scrape when she took a step. This recovery has been very hard and the longer it goes the harder it seems to be. Not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. Yvonne is still fighting with pain; however, she is getting stronger and stronger every day! She is up to walking over 1/3 of a mile each day. We are doing the walking every morning at the lake near our house. We measured off the distance beginning with 1/4 of a mile and then increased the distance every few days. She was really surprised when I told her that 1/3 of a mile is the distance completely around the block by our house! It is way more pretty and fun to walk around…

Yvonne had another good week. She walks about a quarter of a mile now, and this week she did it five days in a row. But, here is more exciting news, today after church we went to an empty parking lot and she got behind the wheel of our car for the first time. Everything worked fine and she drove us home! She enjoyed being able to drive again. Praise the Lord for another first! God is restoring her to health and healing her wounds. Thank you Jesus! Unfortunately, she still experiences…

Please keep Yvonne in your prayers. When we saw the surgeon on the 6th of July he showed us the x-rays and said Yvonne has a compression fracture of one of her vertebrae. He said there is nothing that can be done except wait for it to heal. And it looked like it was already doing that. But, she is having quite a bit of extra pain in her back the last few days. She couldn't even finish her physical therapy session on Thursday because her back hurt. So if you could, please pray for her.…
