Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

first time sending letters...i need help

thank you so much ahead of time for your help! i wrote 4 letters, 2s

 single pages (sep) and 2 linked together.. do i put them in 3 envelope and throw them in the mail or tie them together? also whats the astest way for him to get them?

How soon after your sailor got to BC, did you get the box and/or letters?

Hey Navy families and loves :)

I was just wanted to compare and see if I can estimate when I will be getting something from my sailor..

He just got to Great Lakes 3 days ago, what do ya'll think? When did you guys get your box/letters for the first time?

He just got to Great Lakes last night

What should can I expect from here? He got there at 10 last night and I'm just curious as to what they could be doing right now and what I should expect :) Also, at what point do they take their cell phones?

He just left for Bootcamp.. How was your goodbye experience?

My fiance's mom and I just dropped him off at MEPS to send him to the hotel. Tomorrow we'll be seeing him swear in for the last time before he heads out to Great Lakes and my god. My fiance and his mom are pretty much a military family. His dad was in the Army and his dad before him, so goodbye is pretty easy for them. I on the other hand come from a emotional type family lol. I held it in as much as I could while I was with his mom so she didn't think I was overreacting but when we got back…

Creating a poster for my sailor but I need help!

My fiance is leaving in less than 2 weeks for BC, it's so sad to imagine him leaving! I'd really like to make him a poster before he goes with all his family and friends' words of encouragement but can't find too many examples. I want to draw a picture, maybe an anchor-? - on the middle of the poster with a very inspiring quote. I really would like any ideas or pictures ya'll have! I need help you guys lol

Should we get married before A or after A school? I really need help!

Thanks for taking some time and checking out my blog! I'm new and suuuper confused! I could use all the help I can get :)

My fiance just signed up for the Navy in May of this year. A week after he met with the recruiter, he proposed :)! I'm so excited but we haven't made plans yet, nor set a date! We're afraid to make any plans because there is no telling what will change in the next couple of months as far as A school and shipment days go.
