Hi There, my son got in late last nite, the 4 hr. time difference is tough. EXCELLENT to have him home. Its only been since PIR that we saw him last, March, but it seems longer. Glad he could get leave. This site is great, its been a wonderful to touch base with folks.
Hi MariaM Congratulations on your Sailor, I also am from Fl. West Palm Beach but we we family in Plant City my son's PIR date is March 18 just around the corner he wrote to me and said he was the only one from Fl in his Div. he is in Ship 07 Div 108 he also has the honors in designing the DIv Flag. Congratulations again.
Maria, show Sherrys how to add our Div page to her list. I friend requested her. Also, my son was given a phone card the second day of boot camp by a friend he made who had two. We sent him one from Costco, 700 min. for 19.99 in case anyone is looking for a good deal.
Maria, I hope you have gotten a call today. Please let us know, but in the meantime, I will be praying. I saw you are from Brandon. Beautiful city. My daughter was a diver in High School and Brandon has a great diving program. We vacation in Long Boat Key just about an hour south. We love Florida!
Hi Maria M, I also have a son on SH 02 DIV 913 and am thrilled to find another mom. I love the photos! Have you gotten a phone call yet? My son not received all of his mail, only about 3 pieces out of 20 or more sent by me and my family...AHG! I have gotten 4 letters so far one of which was the formal letter. Will be great to talk and share stories!
