My son called me this evening to let me know he is being separated from the Navy. He failed his initial run. They said he can reenlist in 6 months with a waiver. It was a scripted call so I don't know how he is feeling about this. I have already got him set up with a personal trainer and gym membership for when he finally arrives home. I am crushed for him, but glad he can go back.

Sorry to hear that your son's training has been interrupted. How great that you set him up for success after he returns. Best of luck to him.

Angella,

Sending you and your son prayers & ((hugs)) for comfort with this news. The good thing is he gets another chance to reenlist and I am so happy for him that he has you to support him to work on himself, so he can go back stronger and know what to expect, Mom you are doing a good job! My son prior to enlisting he started eating lean meats & lots of veggies he also hiked and ran a lot, I have faith your son can accomplish his goal too. God bless you both

So sorry to hear about your son. With your support, our prayers and positive thoughts and his strength, I’m confident he will succeed and percevier.
I have gotten the whole family a membership to the gym, we will do this together and we will be there to cheer him on and challenge him. Prayer and family and lots of support will be what gets him through I believe. Thank you, everyone, for your support. I feel selfish almost, needing support when my son is the one who is going through this.

the whole family goes through it. You are doing great. Best to him.

I will be praying for your Son and his future success with the Navy. Its awesome that he has you as a Mom to encourage him. He may be delayed but he is not denied. I am rooting for him.

SONshine, thank you very much. I appreciate all the support I am getting from all the wonderful women on here. Knowing that every one is rooting for him gives me strength!
So sorry to hear about your son. It's hard to see them disappointed! It's great to see the support and it will make all of you stronger, emotionally as well as physically! My thoughts are with you.
So, I got a call from my son just now. He missed his run by 10 sec and was put in a run training class. He said he sat in that class for 2 days, they didn't run even once! He took the test again and he missed by 2 seconds!
How far into his boot camp training was the run test?
It was the first run, the one you do directly after the P days, before you start boot camp
That's so sad. My son just barely got in do to his measurements. He is a little overweight, but still made it in. I'm a little concerned about him passing his physical test. Just wondering which day of his first week that would be on.
