I just got the letter late yesterday.  My son arrived at GL on 3/1.  I thought we might be pushing it to make the 4/27 date, but happily surprised.  Got a GREAT note on the back of the letter... Has he changed this much already that he seems to really miss us?  Wow!

Hoping to connect with other 11/134 moms.  Let me know.  :D  Hang in there!  We're gonna make it, just like our kids!  :D

Thanks to everyone who wrote letters to my sr for me... She got the message and wrote me everyone names to give a message to... However she only gave last names and I cant type them here... I can tell you this my daughter spirits was down because she has not recieved my letters either... But when she found out I was looking for her through this site.. She was very excited and all the recruits are trying to send messages through each other to. Keep sending messages they are getting them... Im sad to say I missed my call... however I get letters everday now... I love this site...

Im glad she got her messages...i know it meant a lot to her because my daughter said they nee all they can get although they stay busy throughout the day at nite is when it all hits home.

Ur SR saud she still has not recieved any of your letters . My SR said she has been really sad and to let you know she hasnt recieved any.

ok thanks... tell her that her that re re and her brothers has sent letters also... we will definately be there to see her graduate and dont worry just stay focus...

I will let her know and i will also send her some words of encouragement. We will be staying on the Naval Base in the Naval Lodge so im hoping to see everyone at graduation.

We are staying at the gateway inn and suites on base... We are leaving on wed... Maybe we can meet up in arkansas somewhere... That is where we will lay over and rest. I will message you my number. I really appreciate you for sending messages to my netra.

No problem and we are staying in Arkansas as well Wed nite so that will be good. Sending a letter was no problem

Okay everyone i got another letter today and my baby said her HELL WEEK is over so she will most definitely be in graduation April 27th. She said she passed everything but they have inspection Monday which is today and she said she ace'd the first inspection so this one will be a breeze. She said for me to pass her good news and she ole it all to me because when she was doing her Physical training assessment all she keep saying in her head is this is for my momma(teary)she even passed her swimming test with flyying colors. She said their Boot Camp is basically over now and they are getting ready for graduation. They got the rest of their uniforms so she is good to go.YAYYYYY im so happy and proud...i can even breathe!!!

After 40 days at boot camp... I finally received a letter from my son... he was very direct and had a lot to say about boot camp... he's looking forward to graduation and some personal accomplishments he wants to make before boot camp ends... strongly dislikes the morning "wake up" calls... he was sick last week and made reference to the many in his division that were also sick... but he sounds very positive... and I'm a happy mom... I'm getting excited for PIR...

My daughter said there was a lot of ppl sick with a virus. I hope he is doing fine now because i know being sick and having to take orders can some times be difficult if your body is not up to the push. Im glad its almost over now(wipes forehead)

hendersonc.... my son said his worse day in boot camp yet... was the day he was sick with a fever and still had to perform... thank God he is past it and I hope it is finally out of the Division...

Wonder how every did on their second round of assessments. I received a letter yesterday that my SR wrote Sunday that said they havent really been doing anything but the second round was this week but she didnt seem to be afraid...im guessing because the hard part for her is over and once she conquered her fears she said everything will be a breeze but i dont want her to get to cocky and fail something. Well im gonna stay prayerful for all the SR and hope that we all get that "Im A Sailor" call(lol).
