For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Janiem, I have you in my thoughts today. It is so hard to watch them leave for deployment. Our Corpsman has been there since last December and can't wait for his return, hopefully, this December. Due to OPSEC, we can't say much on here but if you want to friend request me, I can give you some updates. God Bless.

Aubsmom, how thrilling for you. I can't begin to image your journey with daughter's deployment. I am so, so glad, she is home. The best news will be when all our military from every where can home.

My Seabee daughter returned from her second deployment to Afghanistan a couple of weeks ago. It was the most amazing feeling to be at that flight line. Of course it was also amazing to see her reunite with her 15 month old son! Thank you to all of those who have served for all of us! Thoughts and prayers to all of you who await for your loved ones to soon come home. Every day that passes is a day closer for them to come home!

Susan, your post gave me hope for that 'some day' in the future.
Kathy, I am so proud for you. This is such great news. I can't image what it will feel like when my son returns. I have a long wait. He just left. Less than 30 days, but reading about sons coming home reassures me that it will happen. I just keep doing my routine and letting the days pass. I am so happy for both you and Susan. Keep posting cheery news. It helps.
