Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I just want to finish out be sending all of my prayers to the families & loved ones deployed right now, as I know it may be a rough adjustment for us all these next few years.
IDC, our youngest did an Africa D a few years ago. Your definitely at the right spot for moral support. :)

Hi Everyone, TDM, thanks for the name change. Our oldest son in the Navy, will is getting out in July. Becoming a father has tugged on his heart strings enough to know he wants to be there to watch his now, 2 1/2 year old son, grow up. As much as he loves being in the Navy, being on a sub is extremely demanding whether you're deployed or not.
Our youngest is still in AF. He is stationed in Europe for a few years & just got done with a deployment. We will be celebrating his 'Elopement' prior to him leaving last year, with a "Beautiful" wedding in a few weeks here in the states!! Can't wait to see he & his wife soon!!!
I will be staying with this site b/c of our youngest as he continues on in the AF with his job that relates to these Mom's.

IDC, the name of this group has been there from before I joined...when Iraq was the main combat area, and then Afganistan was added to the name. Going to see if I can simply change it to Moms with Kids in War Zones.
I bet those kids were so happy to hear their dad's voice!! Hope you got photos!

My son is in Africa, not Afghanistan or Iraq, but since the Africa group is pretty much inactive, thought I would check in here.
I should have known that the first friend my son would make overseas would be a cat. First care package sent included deformer and flea preventative. Now, he's eyeing a pretty lizard as a pet! When My family lived in Libya when I was a child, my sister did have a chameleon on a leash. Guess it runs in the family.
So proud of my daughter-in-law taking care of their 13 year old and nine year old daughters and their almost two year old son. Last night, they attended a build a bear function funded by a military foundation. My son had pre-recorded messages to be put in the bears. I remember when he did that six years ago. So bittersweet.

With the Marines deploying to Syria, I know we have to have some Navy moms in some worry mode....we're still here, we still want you all to know that you are not alone, we're here.

Per the new agency:
Navyformoms.com is being updated and upgraded, and part of this effort is making room for new members. To do so, members who have not been active since 12/1/15 will be removed but will be able to re-join. If you haven't posted since that date, please do so right away.
