Good Morning!
lol Dianne, I don't need a new one I need to give half of mine to someone else lol. I probably could have gotten a new one for me cheaper than the one for the Dodge. I know taking care of your family is very much like running a business. I am in that same boat except we don't pay for help. We are the help lol which is also very demanding. But I keep telling myself I will be glad I was able to do all this and will wish I could do it again when they are no longer here. It just hurts to see them get so bad and not be able to do all the things they can still do in their "mind".
I know several of you have ordered ribbons from me to wear to PIR. All of those orders have now been shipped. Please let me know what you think of them when they arrive. I am sure you will love them :-D With the holidays here the shipping seems to be taking an extra day or two depending on how far you are from me but hopefully you will all have them by this Friday or Tuesday at the latest. The mail doesn't run on Monday so letters from your SR's will probably be delayed next week as well. If anyone else would like to order the ribbons to wear to PIR to support your Sailor just send me a friend request on this site or send me an email to uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com and I will send you all the ribbon info as well as some helpful tips for PIR. I hope you all have a great day.
Lala: You got a NEW REAR END? Ok, sorry...couldn't resist that! HA!
Yes, 5-6 hours is better than 10 for sure! I'm pretty much "close to home" status now with my parents' situation. I was lucky to get up to see my sailor for a couple of days...and still got calls from my sister/parents then! UGH! Suffocating sometimes, but what can you do? I'm running a "business" at their home now with caregivers, pay, schedules, paying bills etc. Yikes...
Good morning everyone! Have a great day!
well Diannep, It is a 10 hr drive for me so 5 or 6 for you isn't too bad lol. That is where my hubby grew up, his sister and several other family members live there. That is where we were vacationing when our truck tore up and had to have a new rear end summer before last (2010) if you remember all that. Since then we rent vacation vehicles lol and we do not pull our own boat that far.
From Eddie's mom ship 11 div 039. I thought I would add it here in case people didn't find it on the other site. Thank you to Eddie's mom for posting this for us.

Looks like everyone has been getting good news from their SR's!! So happy to hear that!!
@diannep - I haven't gotten an exact date from my SR regarding battlestations, but he said it would be "around" and then a date.. That's all I've gotten. :)
It looks like everyone has been doing well with opsec, but just remember no dates for battlestations can be posted anywhere! (Not even in the discussions!) Keep up the great work! :)
Here's to lots of letters and phone calls this week.. I know it will be tough for EVERYONE. But, when you need inspiration, just look at our COUNTDOWN! We're almost there, ladies! :)
The other day I found a list of restaurants that were open on Christmas day near the Naval base, I can't find it again, and am not having much luck with google. Has anyone else seen that and can tell me where I can find it again?
Thanks
