kimberlydale: No, you cannot call an A School to see if your sailor will be going there. You could call for general info, maybe, but they can't confirm if your sailor will be there.
CatCat: Take the personal things with you to PIR regardless of where he may be. He can have them at GL...OR...can take them on the plane with him---if you meet him at the airport on Saturday morning and give them to him there---not allowed at RTC. They are now issued black backpacks and may have room in there to take a few things. Laptops, cells, ipods, a few civilian clothes (that they can't wear at A School until they "phase up"). They can wear the civilian clothes in the hotel room ONLY...outside of the room, full uniform required.
Good Afternoon!
Good Morning :):) I am curious ladies, you mention about calling the A school...we can do this, and they will give us information about where our SR will be ?? I have and idea but really don't know anything for sure !!! Only 21 days from TODAY!!!!! I am looking so forward to it that I am having a hard time even focusing on Christmas..........!!!
Catcat49-I do believe you can take his stuff is he stays in GL. I was told if they stay at GL they have to check in directly after PIR & it takes from 1-5 hours so you have to hang out somewhere & wait til he's done. Always changing the game-lol. Merry Christmas to you & yours!
Popeye's Mom, That is what I am afraid of. I did call the A school GL and I do think he will be going there. But as you say, things change, I never seem to get the answers I really need. I am trying to find out if he will be moving into A School that weekend. Need to know if we can take some of his personal things to him. RTC just said they cannot take anything back to barracks. Guess I didn't ask the question right. I'm sorry for your disappointment. Hope things get better for you, Merry Christmas to all.
Good morning all! I am really feelin' sorry for myself since our SR said he's won't be staying at GL for A school. Before he talked of buying a car & coming home (6 hours away) when he got liberty. Now we only get Friday with him & some time at the airport on Saturday & he will end up 14 hours away in CT! I know things change constatly in the military & I'm trying to be flexible but that is not my strongest suit-lol. Oh well, thanks for letting me vent! Have a great weekend!
IMPORTANT - I am reposting this from loganmyseaman(SHIP07/DIV035) about SARGE.
Those of you that have arrangements with him please contact him to confirm them.
Greetings Navy for Moms PIR 01/06/12!!
Just wanted to pass on some important information that Sarge asked me to inform you of... His I-phone was stolen and he has lost some important text messages from those of you who are using his service and wanted to have you either forward him an email with your flight information to his email address: johnspadaro@att.net or you may contact him via phone @ 1-847-212-0246. He is very concerned and does not want any to be left without transportation if you have made previous arrangements with him for this service.
(I am anxiously awaiting our SR's PIR).
Merry Christmas to you all and Many Blessing for the New Year!
Here is another Mr. Bean...this one really made me laugh because there is a Border Collie about three and a half minutes into it.
Good Afternoon!
