OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

MrsBis06-Glad your SR got his ribbon! Ours wrote that he hopes to get one too. Not sure how that works after he shot the ceiling-lol! My hubby is a bailiff but they only got 1 chance to go to a range before he left for BC.

courtney.nicole-Our SR said maybe Saturday but that was contingent on if they all passed a certain test. I have somewhere to go in the AM & I'm wondering if I should skip it. You just never know.

is there any word on when the next phone call will be?! cant wait to talk to him again!

Glad to hear your Hubby is doing better. my SR received his
Ribbon for shooting very proud of him for that. It was probably a help that
Dad is a cop and the range was a thing they'd go do :)
My SR sounds very up beat. only 3 more weeks!

Popeye:  So glad that he will be home and all is better now!  Funny that your SR shot the ceiling...mine said he shot ok, but forgot about the kickback or something...got him and caused his finger/thumb to bleed...upset the RDC who told him to get the ___ out of there!  Ooops!  :-)  Guns are not the fav in our household but he had shot one before...

Good morning, all!

Popeye's Mom - Glad to hear that your hubby is doing better and home! Yay on letters and hoping you get that call!

So good to hear about the Red Cross too! Had another mom post about it on the PIR 01/20/2012 group. They had to use them too recently.

Thanks for the prayers & hugs! Hubby gets to come home tomorrow(Thursday). Dr. says his case is one of the 2 out of 10 that they can't find a reason for. Gall bladder & everything looks OK & blood tests show nothing. Hopefully, it never happens again!

I hope many of you got letters today. We got one & so did Grandma. It was written in many pieces from 12-6 to I forget when. He enjoyed Marlinspike & shooting but apparently the instructors weren't real pleased when he shot the ceiling! He says the division still has ups & downs but he sounds very positive that they will come together as a team. He said they may get to call Saturday but doesn't want to get our hopes up cause it's riding on whether they pass something. Still I won't be running errands that day-this Navy Mom's big butt will be home!

Gotta hit the sack. Haven't worked all week but going back tomorrow. Having an annual Christmas carry-in that is the best so I'm not missing out-lol! Blessings & love to all of you, your SR's, & all your families. GO NAVY!

Hi all, I wrote a little jingle/song this morning and thought I would share it with everyone so it will be stuck in your heads too lol. It is to the tune of Santa Clause is coming to town. I hope you like it, It won't be long until you are packing and going to PIR :) even though it feels like a long time. I hope it passes quickly.

They’re Makin' a list, Checkin' it twice,
Gonna see their Sailor, It's really really nice,
Navy Moms are coming to town
They're bringing the wives, girlfriends too,
Gonna be crying through Pass In Review,
Navy Moms are comin' to town
They've stalked the local mailman,
Facebooked and Tweeted too,
They've learned the rules of OPSEC
and made lifelong friends here too.
Oh, you better dress warm, the weather is cold,
You better wear your ribbons of silver and gold
Navy Moms are coming to town ;-)

Got several letters today!! He's in a much better mood than last week (thankfully), just gearing up for the end! :) I can't believe there's only three more weeks! It's starting to get real!!

Hope you all have a fabulous evening! <3
