OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Good morning.  Loganmyseaman: like Diannep said, Thank you!  Graduation is getting closer and closer and I want to make sure the only thing I have to worry about is getting all the time I can with my son. I'm just so excited!  Hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday.

Hi Ladies, What a game today, Huh?  I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

I have been MIA for a couple of days, we had a death in my sister in law's family (whom I'm very close too) and then my youngest daughter flew back from college last night.  Woohoo!  But she arrived with a broken laptop and guess who has a final's paper due on Tuesday and hadn't started it yet?  lol  So, mom's laptop has been confiscated for a couple of days.  After this coming Tuesday, I should be on here regularly again, but I have to defer the use of my computer to my baby girl for now.  Luckily, my husband and I had already ordered her a new one for Christmas, but it hasn't arrived yet.

It's midnight now, and this is the first chance I've had to use my laptop today.

loganmyseaman:  Thank you SO MUCH for posting that about Sarge.  YIKES!   You may want to post it again later in the weekend/early next week for those who may not be on this weekend.  Wouldn't hurt to post it several times.  Thanks so much for doing this!

Great recap, Chris'Mom!  Although I can imagine the rack is not terribly comfortable, I agree...with all they are doing, a bed of nails would probably feel good to lie down on to these exhausted SRs!

I took great comfort when my son was at bootcamp knowing:

He was being fed good food (when given a choice, he usually chooses good food...he is a veggie eater), exercised well, hydrated well (they have to drink a certain amount of water a day), contained in a safe environment, can't spend money easily :-) , and being mentored.  I thought of all of my friends who may have been worried when their sons/daughters were out late, and felt grateful that I knew where mine was!  Hmmmm.....I was kinda hoping bootcamp may last for a few years ...  :-)

@kimberlydale= then I saw your son, even though I don't know which one he was, I sat with Chris and waited for boarding. That is so cool!!
Chris mentioned the good food again in his letter. They have prime rib, shrimp, veal, and he had manicotti that day for lunch. He said he has a banana and an apple with every meal, and he's drinking lots and lots of milk. :) I'm just so thrilled that he sounded so happy!! (Not that he didn't say that it is very tough). He has "gotten the flick" on expectations so that is helping him have some fun with it. He did mention that the bed is the most comfortable thing he's ever slept on, but admitted that its because it feels so good to go to sleep! He's always been a night owl, but not anymore!!

Greetings Navy for Moms PIR 01/06/12!!

Just wanted to pass on some important information that Sarge asked me to inform you of... His I-phone was stolen and he has lost some important text messages from those of you who are using his service and wanted to have you either forward him an email with your flight information to his email address: johnspadaro@att.net or you may contact him via phone @ 1-847-212-0246. He is very concerned and does not want any to be left without transportation if you have made previous arrangements with him for this service.

(I am anxiously awaiting our SR's PIR).

Merry Christmas to you all and Many Blessing for the New Year!
