Popeye's mom, that's a good idea to wait on the clothes shopping. You will be amazed at the transformation in your SR by the time PIR comes around.
mtnwoman, you could try Priceline for your 4wheel drive rental. I have always been able to get great deals with them.
Call Sarge for your transportation needs! He will take great care of you:
847-212-0246 You can even call him now and ask him about rates and such. And, if you check around you may be able to share the ride with someone else and split the cost depending on how many you have traveling with you and how much extra room you have. Sarge charges by the trip not the number of people :-)
Good morning from Pacific Daylight Time! I'll be flying in from Reno to O'Hare (sp?) on January 5 and do not know that area one little bit. I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is shuttle service from the airport to Waukegan? That's where we've got rooms at the Motel 6. I'm just trying to save on renting a 4 wheel drive. Any info is helpful. Thanks ladies.

Good morning Navy family! I can't believe we're at Day 32! I was looking at some old posts last nite & I said something about Day 54-that time has flown! So if you're just starting out, believe me it will speed up! I'm thinking about what to get our SR for Christmas & am thinking if all the PT has beefed him up, we'll just shop for new clothes when we go to PIR! Have a great day & if you're like we are in OH, try to stay dry!
Good morning everyone, the RDC's will help them and they will work hard to get them all to pass. And even their fellow DIV members will help them too. It is all part of learning to be a team so hang in there I am sure they will get there :-) I won't be on here a lot today. I am on a mission today to find supplies for the PIR ribbons. I already have several orders from this group and I am always looking for a reason to shop lol. I also have to go to the fabric stores and get more fabric for the new Navy tote bags and Kindle/E-Reader covers that are a huge hit :-) I hope you all have a wonderfully fantastic Monday :-) Hold down the fort Diannep <3
PhoenixMom; I think the 2-4 was more like it. Remember, training weeks are different than bootcamp weeks. They don't start training weeks until they have been there anywhere from a week to two weeks. They all arrive up there at different times, yet can be in the same division. If last Thurs was 2-4 him, then today is 3-1.
Yes, they should improve in that run. The float can be hard for some too, but most all make it in the end (the swim requirements only have to be passed once...). Those that don't pass are put in FIT division until they pass it, and even many of those still make their PIR date. Those that don't eventually pass it, have no PIR, and fly straight to A School. But that is a very small number of SRs.
Good morning, all!
@PhoenixMom - Yes, my boyfriend said that he failed his first one but that he was working hard, doing extra pushups and situps before bed every night, and was going to pass the next one! I'm falling in love with him all over again - his hard work and dedication is amazing me! They will both do just fine and I'm sure that they are motivating each other. :)
Not sure what week they are in, heck my SR didn't even know the date. I asked that he put dates on his letters (so when we read them on our 50th anniversary, we'll know.. lol) and this is what he wrote "Someday November 2011". Hahaha. Thanks for the effort, dear. Jealous you got a call... I guess my man was on watch? No calls here!
@ allie42989 (ship07/div036) - my SR said the same thing - that he felt he was the slowest n the division for the 1.5 mile run. He didn't think he was ever going to pass it. With all the PT they are doing each week, I am sure they will all improve by the time they get to the end.
For Ship 07, Div 036, does anyone know what week they are in? I tried asking my SR when he called, but he wasn't sure. He says time is counted different and he keeps losing track. When he called Thursday, Dec. 1 he thought he was in Week 2, Day 4. I thought he was in Week 3.
