(847) IN THE HOUSE TONIGHT!!!
It felt sooo good to hear my girl's voice! We talked for about 25 minutes from everything from her daily routine to my weight watchers diet and exercise. Happy mama... and I'm off to the gym :)
Thank you Betsy..it really felt awesome..
Babette, that's awesome!
WHOOOOHOOOO!! I JUST HEARD FROM MY SAILOR..IT WAS SO GREAT TO HEAR HIS VOICE AND IT MADE MY NIGHT. WHAT A GREAT FEELING. I AM ON TOP OF THE WORLD...HOPE EVERYONE HEARS FROMT THERES SOON..He is doing good, said he gets 30 minutes once per week to talk on Thursday's. I am crying happy tears. Happened to be at work and saw that 847 # come up and took off with my phone. He just made my rough day into a great day...
I hope everyone is have a great day. Today is my Sailors 22nd birthday :-) We celebrated while she was home for Thanksgiving but I still wish I could be with her today.
kimberlydale, that's great that your SR is writing to so many people.
miriamj, they are wonderful words of wisdom to get all of you through your day.
35 days until PIR .....it is going by fast !!! Hope everyone has a great day and we get phone calls !!!!! Even if we don't get calls the letters have REALLY helped ...It took a little while to start gettting them but now almost everyday either a family member or a friend has recieved a letter ;)):) that makes me happy !!! God Bless our guys and gals and God Bless America !!!!
Good morning ladies!
May our mailbox be overflowed and the phone ring off the hook with nothing but good news from our SR. Let's take pride in the fact that if they've made it this far they'll surely make it the rest of the way. They need to know we're just as strong as they are and that what we're feeling now won't even come close to the pride we'll all feel when we see them at PIR.
**let's not forget waterproof mascara!**
Have a great day ladies.
- miriam
GOD BLESS OUR FUTURE SAILORS!
Betsy, I have heard that before from another lady on this site. She was texting and missed the call too....on the I'm a Sailor call day!
Ladies, one word of warning: Do NOT try to call back the number that you missed, even if right away. It most likely will be answered by an RDC and your SR will pay the price. So if you miss the call, you will just have to wait for the next one...sorry, but no need to cause any issues for your SR.
jlmjtat: They can tell you that they have a scheduled call coming, and then not call. Again. for reasons FTLW said...or they could have lost the calls (as a division too) if they did something wrong. I was very fortunate that I only missed one of my son's calls when he was there (he called about 5 times)...and most were on the home phone. Amazing that I was home, but God is good! I know you can drive yourselves crazy being connected to a phone all of the time.
Just know that once they are in A School, contact is back and you can relax again!
Good morning, all!
That is good!
