diannep....he told us that was his division, but I think I will just send mail to his old address until he sends us a letter next week, just to be safe. I don't want to mess him up in getting letters. I will error on the side of caution! Thank you for your help in all this. How did it work when your son got asmoed? I'm so glad to hear he made it through with no other problems...that is great!:)
mome2jord: If you are positive the is his division number and he's there in it now, you can write to that address. But if you are not positive, you can write to his old address and they will forward it.
diannep....our son told us his new division was 045, but he had to hang up before he gave us his ship number or PIR date. I am assuming the 045 division is the PIR of 1/20 since that division is listed in that group. I am little skeptical to set that in stone though since I have not heard the PIR date from him. I am not sure if I should send mail there without confirmation of his address from him. Should I still be sending mail to the old address? I write him everyday and I don't want him to not get the letters....He said he was going to call us yesterday, but I don't think many of them got calls home. I was hoping to verify from him. And I will stay around this group and help out until someone offers to be the "go to" girl. Even then I will still be a part of it. Even though my son's PIR is changing I feel we are all connected...we are Navy family!:)
Thank you miriamj43....our son was the one to call us and tell us on Wed. They let them call right away to let us know his PIR date was changing. I truly have been a mess for the last few days knowing I can't run up there to take care of him. Then to not have him there on Thanksgiving made it that much harder. I know it was a tough day for all of us and yet at the same time we all are blessed tremendously. There is nothing wrong with having a moment, this is very hard to go through. I actually felt I was doing so much better and handling it well, then to know he is sick pushed me back a bit. I honestly don't really care what his PIR is, we will be there will bells on. I just want to know he is okay and that will make me one happy mama!!! I hope today is a better day for you miriamj43....we just take it one day at a time. Thank you for the prayers and hugs and I am sending one right back to you!!!:)
"Saw" not "was." Ugh! Not used to my sailor's laptop!
mome2jord: So sorry about that. My son was asmoed too, and I can tell you, he got back into the next division and did great. Just cost us more $$ on the tickets we already had! I was you on another group asking for the mailing address. Has he already given you the new PIR date? Hope he is well soon! I am an administrator on here, as are other N4Moms veterans, but we need a lady from this group to be the "go to" girl. So I hope someone volunteers! We are glad to help in the meantime.
@mome2jord, i'm so sorry to hear that. It's bad enough they're gone but getting sick on top of that and as a mom not being able to help is just awful- how do you know he's sick did HE call you or did a rep call?? I hate this soo.. yesterday I lost it. After all the cooking was done, everyone ate and people were just arroud the table talking, I was overcome with emotion I just couldn't stand it anymore I wanted to scream! So instead... I cried. I truly pray your son gets well and our kids (AND US!) can get through this quickly ((hugs))
Thank you chelsealoo, I appreciate it very much!!!:) I just want him to feel better!
Chris's Mom...my phone did not leave my side either....I'm sure everyone thought I was a bit crazy for carrying it around everywhere with me...lol! His new PIR is 1/20.
